At the Riedell/Landmark Halloween Invitational on October 27 & 28, 2001, Riedell announced its newest members of the 2001-2002 Riedell Racing Team. For years, Riedell has proven that it has an interest in improving the sport of speed skating by giving its name to up-and-coming skaters as well as established professional skaters. Never has this been clearer than with Riedell's newest teammates: Jono Gorman from GT Speed in Cumming, GA and Kevin Quandt from Stardust in Lantana, FL.

Jono has been skating since he was a Primary boy when he placed at Nationals in a quad relay. Jono placed third at Nationals in Freshman boys last year, but just entered the Sophomore men's division this year and is ready to compete with the "big boys." His first challenge was a top twenty finish in the US 10K Classic on Labor Day. Kevin Quandt, fresh from his National Championship bronze medal in Juvenile Boys also donned Riedell colors.
